A Website For Your "Favorites" Folder
It is not often, in fact seldom, that we would take the time to write an article about a web site and the information contained within it. So many websites claim they are factual and full of helpful information … only to discover that they are not what they touted themselves to be … but merely a cheap disguise for marketing a product.
The following website is not such a location: theHouseandSenate.com.
If you have an interest in your state government and need reliable information fast … in Oklahoma, this is the website to use. This should be one of your "go to sites".
We can tell you that the Oklahoma Reporter and the NABRAUSA use this website to help in data research for articles and investigations. It has saved us thousands of hours work … and we always find the information to be just what the site claims: a link for public information.
It is not a fancy site. And yes, at first, it can take a few moments to find some of the links you might be looking for. But the site does have a rhythm and pattern to it and once you discover that, you can make quick work of the links and information provided.
The NABRA is a private organization with a very public effort: a civil rights defense of all animal breeders. As such, they spend countless hours gathering information, discovering what information is real, what information is opinion and what information is lies. This website, TheHouseandSenate.com, has become a very important tool in that process of "discovering the political truth in Oklahoma" for their political staff.
If you are a political student in Oklahoma, you will discover that this site will help you with your course studies and research. If you are a student visiting the Capitol, trying to express your thoughts regarding a bill in motion, contacting members of congress, or locating executive assistants, let us suggest that you bring your laptop (or wireless Internet device) with you and let this website assist and guide you through the maze of state government!
If you are somebody who has just read an article about a bill or law being passed in Oklahoma and want to check out some of the real data behind it …you know, discover the truth yourself … this is a great site to start from!
So, to anybody interested in Oklahoma government ... let us strongly suggest that this be a site for your favorites folder … or maybe even place a direct icon on your computer’s desktop to this website.
Once again … theHouseandSenate.com.
